After two weeks of COVID lockdown and riding round in circles between Manly and Narrabeen it was a joy to head south and see the city sights again.
The city is not everyone’s first choice for cycling, but while the crowds are absent it is the perfect time to visit. This ride started from The Spit Bridge, then worked its way mostly on empty footpaths through Cremorne, Mosman, Neutral Bay, and Milson’s Point. It then crossed the Harbour Bridge, went through the CBD just because it was so empty, down to the Opera House, along Circular Quay and The Rocks to Barangaroo, then back via North Sydney and The Spit Reserve.
This is just another variation on a theme; but if you have not cycled in the City and Harbour foreshores, now is the time. So many places to start and finish, and ways to extend or shorten. The crowds will soon be back.
The 5mins 40sec video below captures the highlights.
